The X20 is a hardware-based video processor built around a modular frame, with input and output cards chosen to suit the project. A configuration can handle up to 160 video sources and drive up to 144 outputs, which makes it a fit for complex setups that mix different signals and resolutions. Each layer supports scaling, moving, crossing and overlap or stacking, and a single port can carry up to 8 layers depending on configuration. Inputs and outputs support 4K at 60 Hz. Other processing functions include text overlay, static image output, signal preview and multiple user presets.

Multiple screens can be managed from one place, and the unit can be controlled remotely over TCP/IP. For dependable operation it offers redundant power supplies and security or rights-based access control.
