RS10

The RS10 is a three-way floorstanding speaker designed to partner Rega's reference electronics. A Balance Mode Radiator covers most of the audible range, which lets the crossover to the tweeter sit at 6kHz, above the region where the ear is most sensitive. The tweeter is the ZRR-10, a silk dome with a copper Faraday ring that extends response to 23kHz, assembled by hand in the UK.

Bass is handled by two drivers wired in parallel: a 200mm unit with a 40Hz resonance in a quarter-wave transmission line, and a 125mm unit with a 75Hz resonance in a small sealed enclosure. Spreading the resonances across the bass band is intended to give tighter, more tuneful low frequencies. Bass level can also be shaped by moving the speaker nearer to or further from a wall.

Environment Match Settings, a three-position switch on the rear, shift the balance between lower and higher frequencies to suit the room. The speaker is bi-wireable and bi-ampable, and can be used with amplifiers from 30W to 500W. Cabinets come in high gloss Cherry, Piano Black or Walnut.
