PMC6-2 XBD
The PMC 6-2 XBD is a twin-cabinet active monitoring system made of a PMC6-2 three-way nearfield/midfield monitor and a PMC8-2 SUB. It targets high-end music production and extends the low end down to 25Hz.

The 6-2 XBD pairs a PMC6-2 active three-way monitor, using two 150mm bass drivers, a 55mm soft-dome midrange and a 27mm soft-dome tweeter, with a PMC8-2 SUB. Both cabinets use ATL bass loading. In XBD mode the DSP merges the two units into one larger monitor, which adds low-frequency headroom and lowers the system's response limit to 25Hz.
Each cabinet has Class-D amplification and onboard DSP with crossover, driver protection, level trim, high-pass filter, delay, polarity, shelving filters, a 5-band parametric EQ and user presets. Latency is 2.4mS.
The signal goes into the PMC6-2 on an XLR that switches between analogue and AES3 digital. An AES3 cable then carries the digital through output to the PMC8-2 SUB. The cabinets are linked through RJ45 network ports, either to a LAN or directly to each other. Settings can be changed from the rear panel or in a browser with SoundAlign, where the linked pair shows up as a single unit. An expansion card slot is provided for future connectivity.
