The HDJ-CUE1BT is a compact, foldable pair of DJ headphones that works both wirelessly over Bluetooth and wired with the supplied cable. Its sound tuning is derived from the pro-level HDJ-X5, with dynamic drivers intended to give clear bass, mids and highs so kick drums and low frequencies can be monitored precisely when mixing.

The ear cups rotate a full 90 degrees, and the headband is cushioned and flexible, allowing one-ear monitoring or wearing the headphones around the neck. Metal sliders in the headband add strength, and the moving parts have passed the maker's in-house durability tests. The cable and earpads can be swapped for coloured replacements from the separately sold HC-CP08 accessory pack, available in orange, yellow, green, blue and pink.

For wireless use, the built-in microphone handles phone calls. For DJing, a detachable 1.2 m short-coiled cable is included; it has a bayonet connector that prevents accidental disconnection.
