The Ci160CSDS is a dual stereo in-ceiling speaker, meaning one enclosure is designed to recreate a stereo image where there is room for just a single speaker. It pairs a 160 mm (6.5 in.) low-frequency driver with a 19 mm (0.75 in.) high-frequency driver and has a thin bezel for a flush finish.
Installation uses a screw-down clamping system with moisture-resistant fixings, so the speaker can be fitted in environments such as bathrooms or beneath eaves. The cut-out is 194 mm x 194 mm, and the speaker needs 84.5 mm of mounting depth from the surface without the back can. External dimensions are 223 mm x 223 mm x 90.5 mm, and net weight is 1.80 kg.
Electrically it is a passive 8 ohm design with a sensitivity of 91 dB (2.83 V / 1 m) and a stated frequency response of 50 Hz to 20 kHz (±6 dB) when open backed. It is part of the maker's architectural speaker range, and software is available from the maker's Ci software download page.
