The F702SP is a passive floorstanding speaker built in the UK. It combines a 200mm IsoFlare point-source driver, which has a 25mm magnesium dome compression tweeter at its centre, with a second 200mm multi-fibre bass/midrange driver. The cabinet is a twin-cavity tuned design made of pressed high-density birch ply with extensive internal bracing, and it has a downward-firing port fed by a BassTrax Tractrix diffuser.
The crossover has been revised using computer modelling and listening tests. It uses Claritycap capacitors and Neotech PC-OCC wiring, and it has been cryogenically treated. The speaker stands on a heavy aluminium platform with M12 threaded support cones.
It connects to an amplifier through gold-plated WBT Nextgen 0703 terminals, and the crossover is bi-wired. The sensitivity is 92dB, the nominal impedance is 8 ohms, and the recommended amplifier power is 30 to 200 watts RMS. It is available in four finishes and is sold as a pair.
