F500SP

The F500SP is a stand-mount speaker and the smallest model in the Special Production range. It builds on the standard F500 with a dedicated SP IsoFlare driver, a retuned crossover and the BassTrax port system taken from the F700 series. The 150mm IsoFlare unit places a 25mm magnesium dome tweeter at the centre of a multi-fibre bass/midrange cone, so the whole spectrum comes from a single point source.

The cone is driven by a twin-magnet motor system and uses a FyneFlute roll surround to reduce resonances where the cone meets the driver frame. Low frequencies leave through a downward-firing port onto a Tractrix diffuser, intended to give an even bass response and make placement in a room easier. The crossover is a low-loss bi-wired passive design, treated with Cryo-Lite.

The rear panel offers bi-wire terminals plus a fifth terminal for grounding the driver chassis, which helps remove RF interference from amplifier or cable. Finishing details include an anodised aluminium plinth and diamond-cut aluminium driver trim. Four finishes are offered, and in the UK a custom RAL colour service is available through selected dealers.
