The SUB 1000F is an amplified subwoofer in a sealed enclosure, designed mainly for home cinema use. A 30 cm (12") driver with a Flax sandwich cone handles the low end. The cone is made of French flax fibre placed between two thin sheets of fibreglass, a construction intended to combine light weight, stiffness and damping for a neutral sound.
The built-in amplifier is a 1000-watt BASH design. The closed cabinet gives extended bass response in a compact footprint and avoids extraneous noise such as port chuffing. Frequency response is 24 Hz to 200 Hz (±3 dB), with a low-frequency point of 22 Hz at -6 dB.
For connection, the subwoofer provides stereo line inputs and a direct line LFE input. Power mode can be set to ON or Auto. The cabinet measures 420 x 400 x 420 mm (H x W x D) and weighs 21.5 kg.
