Celestee

Celestee is a closed-back headphone built around 40 mm aluminium/magnesium 'M'-shaped dome drivers made in the maker's own workshops. The aluminium adds dome rigidity to keep distortion low, while the magnesium contributes damping. Acoustic treatment inside the ear cups is designed to balance absorption and diffusion and avoid resonance.

The aluminium yoke is shaped to fit the head closely, and the memory-form earpads add comfort and passive isolation from outside noise. The headphones weigh 430 g. The finish is navy blue semi-aniline leather with soft copper details. A running-in period is needed for full performance; it occurs naturally over several hours of listening, or can be sped up with at least 24 hours of playback at a fairly high level on bass-rich tracks.

Connection is by a 1.2 m cable with a 3.5 mm jack, plus a 3.5 mm female to 6.35 mm male adapter for full-size sockets. A carrying case in matching colours is supplied, and a display stand is available as an option.
