The R1042BT is a two-way active bookshelf speaker pair. Each cabinet pairs a 19 mm silk dome tweeter with a 4 inch (106 mm) mid-woofer, and the enclosure is built from MDF panels to limit acoustic resonance. Digital sound processing and a 2nd-order LC filter are used to shape the signal.
Sources connect over Bluetooth 5.0 or through two wired stereo inputs, Line in and AUX. Input switching and volume are handled from a control panel on the top surface of the speaker, so no separate remote is described for these functions.
Rated output is 21 W + 21 W RMS, with a stated frequency response of 67 Hz to 20 kHz and a signal-to-noise ratio of at least 85 dB (A). The pair weighs 4 kg net.
