Compact two-way center-channel speaker from the 700 Series S3 range, with a Decoupled Carbon Dome tweeter and two 130 mm Continuum cone bass/midrange drivers. Intended for home theater setups, especially smaller ones built around 704 S3, 706 S3 or 707 S3 speakers.

The HTM72 S3 is the smaller of the center-channel speakers in the 700 Series S3 line. It is a 2-way vented-box design that pairs one 25 mm Decoupled Carbon Dome tweeter with two 130 mm Continuum cone drivers handling bass and midrange. The Carbon Dome tweeter pushes the breakup point up to 47 kHz, and the composite Continuum cone is designed to avoid abrupt changes in behavior, giving a more open and neutral voice reproduction.
The cabinet uses Flowport port technology and measures 477 mm wide, 165 mm high and 266 mm deep (302 mm including grille and terminals), weighing 9.66 kg. Nominal impedance is 8 Ω with a 4.3 Ω minimum, sensitivity is 87 dB, and the recommended amplifier power is 30 W to 120 W into 8 Ω.
It connects to an amplifier or AV receiver through speaker terminals on the rear. It is offered in Gloss Black, Satin White and Mocha cabinet finishes, with a Black grille, or a Grey grille on the Satin White version.
