DP-01FX

The DP-01FX records eight tracks at uncompressed CD quality onto an internal hard drive, with two tracks recordable at once and a dedicated stereo mixdown track. The internal disk has room for more than sixty 8-track songs. Each channel strip has a 45mm fader plus separate controls for pan, effects send and high and low EQ, so most functions are reached without paging through menus. An LCD shows meters, edit settings and locate points.

Two inputs accept either 1/4" TRS or XLR connectors, with phantom power for condenser microphones, and there is also a guitar-level input. The unit includes an insert effects processor for adding effects while recording and a reverb processor for use during mixing, plus an effects send and stereo return. Tracks can be edited with copy, paste, move, erase and silence functions.

For outputs there are RCA line outs, an S/PDIF digital optical output, and a headphone output with a level control. A MIDI Timecode output is provided, and a USB 2.0 port handles project backup and transfer of mixes to a computer. The model has been discontinued.
