Prophet 12 Desktop
The Prophet 12 Module is a 12-voice hybrid digital/analog polyphonic synthesizer in a desktop and rack-capable steel enclosure, sharing its sound engine with the Prophet 12 Keyboard. It suits players who want a compact, MIDI-controlled polysynth for the studio or stage. It is no longer in production.

The Prophet 12 Module packs the voice architecture of the Prophet 12 Keyboard into a compact desktop unit. Each of its twelve voices has a digital front end with four oscillators plus a sine sub oscillator and a character effects section, followed by an all-analog path with a Curtis resonant low-pass filter, a high-pass filter and a tuned feedback circuit. Oscillators can be cross-modulated with FM and AM, and each has hard sync.
Modulation is handled by four looping Delay + ADSR envelopes, four syncable LFOs with slew and phase offset, a 16 x 2 modulation matrix and a programmable arpeggiator. A four-tap delay with per-tap feedback is included in every voice. Editing uses 12 knobs and 34 buttons, with an OLED display showing every parameter.
The module has a steel enclosure with oiled walnut end panels. It connects over 5-pin MIDI (In, Out, Thru) and USB MIDI, and has stereo outputs for two layers, a headphone output and two expression pedal inputs. An optional rack mount kit, sold separately, allows rack installation.
