The Presenter combines a microphone preamp, a program input and a USB audio interface in one small unit. It is built around a deliberately short list of controls so that non-technical users can operate it at a podium, in a classroom or at an event.
The XLR mic input offers switchable phantom power and a three-band EQ for shaping the voice to suit the room. A program level control sets the volume of playback from either the USB connection or the 3.5mm stereo jack on the front panel, so a laptop, smartphone, tablet or MP3 player can be blended with the microphone. A MONO switch on the rear is used when feeding a single powered speaker.
Balanced XLR outputs connect to powered speakers or a PA system. The unit takes its power from the computer's USB port. It can also act as a mic preamp and USB interface for podcasts and VoIP calls, and it can take the output of a wireless microphone receiver on its XLR input.
