The PREMIUM PR:O 118 SUB D2 is an active subwoofer built around a single 18" cone driver in a bass reflex MDF cabinet. A Class D amplifier delivers 1200 W peak, and the speaker is protected by a subsonic filter and a peak limiter. It reaches 126 dB average and 127 dB peak SPL, and its frequency range extends from 45 Hz (-6 dB) up to the crossover point.
An integrated system crossover is selectable between 75 Hz and 150 Hz. The sub handles the filtering itself, so active tops without their own filtering can be connected to the mid/high outputs. This allows a 2.1 system, or a classic half or full stack, as a complement to tops of the PREMIUM PRO D2 series.
For connections there are two XLR/jack combo inputs, two balanced XLR L/R mid/high outputs and two balanced XLR thru outputs, plus an IEC mains connector. The cabinet has an M20 pole mount, preparation for wheel assembly and two MultiGrip handles. It has a steel front grille backed with acoustic foam and an acrylic enamel finish in jet black.
