Beschreibung
The Highway Series Dreadnought is a Mexican-made acoustic-electric built around a slim, contoured body. It combines a solid top, either Sitka spruce or mahogany, inlaid into a fully chambered mahogany body with a tapered floating X bracing pattern. The body depth is 2.25 inches (57 mm), which gives a smaller, more comfortable feel on the lap than a conventional dreadnought.
Amplified sound comes from a Fishman Fluence Acoustic pickup, a curved magnetic Fluence Core design with all-analog electronics. Two controls, Volume and Contour, are fitted. Contour pans between two EQ settings to shape the tone without colouring the natural acoustic sound.
The bolt-on mahogany neck has a C profile, a 25.5 inch scale, a rosewood fingerboard with a 12 inch radius and 20 narrow tall frets. A Graph Tech TUSQ nut, Fender ClassicGear tuners, a Modern Viking bridge and chrome hardware are fitted, and the guitar ships with Dura-Tone coated strings and a Deluxe 1225 gig bag with padded backpack straps.
