Debut F5.3

The DF53 is a floorstanding speaker in the Debut 3.0 line and a step up in size from the DF52 it follows. It is a 3-way, bass-reflex design built around a 1-inch aluminum dome tweeter, a 5 1/4-inch aramid-fiber midrange driver and two 5 1/4-inch aramid-fiber woofers. Crossover points are 500 Hz and 2100 Hz.

The cabinet is made from CARB2-rated 16 mm MDF and has a dual flared port. It is finished in Black Ash vinyl with a Satin Black vinyl front. The enclosure is slim, at 172 mm wide and 1030 mm tall, so it fits into living spaces as a stereo pair or as the front channels of a multi-channel setup.

Electrical connection is through 5-way metal binding posts. Nominal impedance is 6 Ω with a sensitivity of 87.5 dB at 2.83 V/1 m, and the recommended amplifier power is 30 to 150 W. Frequency response is stated as 38 Hz to 38 kHz (-6 dB).
