Hummingbird

The Hummingbird is an amplitude-modulation pedal based on the repeat percussion tremolo of vintage Valco and Vox amplifiers. Its sawtooth shape gives a choppier, more percussive pulse than a typical sine tremolo. It covers classic shimmering tremolo, a delay-like chop of short pings, and speeds approaching ring modulation.
A three-way Mode switch picks slow, mid-tempo or fast oscillator ranges, and Rate, Depth and Level knobs shape the result. Rate can be controlled with an expression pedal, which overrides the Rate knob and allows random-sounding amplitude modulation. Level can boost or cut the signal, and with Depth fully counterclockwise the pedal works as a JFET clean boost.
Bypass uses Flexi-Switch relay-based true bypass, supporting both latching and momentary operation. Because the switching is relay-based, the pedal needs power to pass signal. It runs from a 9 V DC supply with a 2.1 mm negative-center barrel, and a lifetime limited warranty applies.
