The DT 108 is a one-sided, closed, circumaural headset that combines a monitoring earpiece with a dynamic boom microphone. The closed design isolates the wearer from ambient noise and handles high sound pressure levels, which suits broadcast, commentary and intercom environments.
The microphone is a dynamic hypercardioid type. The earpiece covers a frequency range of 30 to 20,000 Hz with a nominal sound pressure level of 94 dB. It weighs 283 g without the cable and is built in Germany. Two nominal impedance versions are offered, 50 ohms and 400 ohms.
The connection cable is on one side only and is detachable. The headset ships without a cable, so the desired cable has to be chosen separately. Listed options include cables with a 4-pin XLR female or a 5-pin XLR male connector, each 1.5 m long. Other connectors are available.
